Northwestern Medicine Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital offers a team of psychologists to provide comprehensive care. Psychologists can help you address the mental and emotional parts of managing a disability.

Psychology services can start during your inpatient stay. They can remain part of your treatment after you leave Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital.

As a member of your care team, your psychologist will:

• Provide psychotherapy sessions that will teach you to recognize problems and respond more effectively.
• Perform psychological testing to measure your capabilities and help plan your treatment.
• Consult and work with your care team to give them insight into the best approach for your physical recovery and emotional healing.
• Refer you to other clinicians, if needed.
• Continue to support you after you leave our care.
