Marianjoy is one of a select few clinical facilities in the nation to offer such a wide-range of the newest equipment featuring virtual reality, robotics and biofeedback-technology. The Marianjoy Assistive Rehabilitation Technology Institute (MARTI) offers solutions to everyday problems of daily living encountered by individuals with a disability. MARTI applies advancements in technology to provide expert treatment including wheelchair positioning, customized orthotics, gait analysis and a variety of services that are unique to Marianjoy as a specialty rehabilitation hospital. Part of MARTI, The Tellabs Center for Neurorehabilitation and Neuroplasticity (TCNN), delivers innovative diagnostic and treatment capabilities for adults and children with disabilities. Our advanced technology allows clinicians to begin neurorehabilitation at earlier stages of recovery, promoting brain neuroplasticity. On the Leading Edge of TechnologyBrain and Muscle Re-educationThe Ekso GT™ Robotic Exoskeleton stimulates neuroplasticity through an adaptive supportive walking system to reeducate the brain and muscles. Marianjoy has been designated a Center of Excellence by Ekso Bionics. Supported Practice for Movement and BalanceThe ZeroG® Gait and Balance Training System enables practice with movement and balance in a supported, controlled environment. Northwestern Medicine Aphasia Center at MarianjoyThe Northwestern Medicine Aphasia Center at Marianjoy is designed for anyone who is experiencing aphasia and would like to improve their communication skills. Led by a speech-language pathologist with expertise in language disorders, small group sessions provide a comfortable and supportive environment for participants to practice their skills through real-life activities. Prosthetics and Orthotics CenterThe Marianjoy Prosthetics and Orthotics Clinic offers custom prosthetic and orthotic devices for adults and children to maximize their functional abilities. Working in partnership with Hanger, a prosthetic and orthotic production company, certified prosthetists and orthotists collaborate with a Marianjoy Medical Group physiatrist and physical therapist to achieve the best possible result for each patient.
