Volunteering at Marianjoy

Marianjoy has more than 180 caring, active volunteers who can be found in many different areas of the hospital as well as through various programs. Volunteers play a key role in supporting our commitment to the community and are an important part of Marianjoy’s mission to rebuild lifestyles for people with disabilities.

Advantages of Volunteering

Every day, Marianjoy volunteers touch the lives of patients, families, and other visitors. A friendly smile and a helpful hand can make a real difference in the experience people have when they are in the hospital or receiving care. While your generous gift of time helps others feel relaxed and welcome, it also benefits you in many ways. As a volunteer, you can:

  • Increase your knowledge of healthcare, hospital programs and services
  • Attend the annual luncheon honoring your service and dedication
  • Meet new people and share your talents with others
  • Feel valued and needed, with a sense of satisfaction knowing you're helping our patients return to active, productive lifestyles
  • Receive a free flu shot annually
